This research is not only know the correlate between two variable but also the strategy is the most frequently used too. The research design of this study is quantitative research. It is because to know the correlation used a statistical measure. The instruments of this study are questionnaire and spoken test. The questionnaire is adopted by Yasuo Nakatani with 30 items and translated to Indonesian language. Oral Communication Strategy Inventory (OCSI) measures using Likert scale model. For the spoken test held by the teachers of The Daffodils course at 22nd of May 2015. The questionnaire is used to collect the x variable data and spoken test to collect the y variable. In this case, the researcher is calculating and processing or analyzing the data using IBM ®SPSS®software ver.21.00 for Window. Both of data in this study are normal, so the researcher uses Pearson Product Moment to know the correlation between two variables. From this study, the result shows that the Sig. (0,644) > α (0,05), so H0 is accepted. It means that there is no sifnificant correlation but the coefficient correlation is 0,113. It means that the correlation is very low correlation. It also can predict the students’ speaking ability from their speaking strategies is only 1,3% accuracy. For the strategy that the most frequently used is social affective strategies with mean 21,42 and standart deviation 4,299.
