Keywords : Youtube videos, Procedure Text, Speaking Speaking is one of the important and essential skills that must be practiced orally by students. However, most students have problems related to speaking skills. They have low vocabulary mastery, lack of English practice in daily activities, poor self-confidence. YouTube videos are one way to improve students' English speaking skills. YouTube videos are interesting media that provide students with better explanations of aspects of speaking skills. The purpose of this study was to test whether there is a significant difference in the achievement of speaking procedure texts between students who are taught using YouTube videos and those who are taught using lecture method and Textbook in grade IX students at MTs Nurul Islam Kediri. The researcher used two classes as the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class was taught using YouTube video media and the control class was taught using the lecture method by the teacher and textbook. The population was grade IX students at MTs Nurul Islam Kediri, with IX-A as the experimental class totaling 22 students and IX-C as the control class, totaling 18 students. The total sample in this study was 40 students. The researcher took data with the following procedures: giving a pre-test, applying treatment, and giving a post-test. The format test is oral test. After getting the test scores, the data were analyzed and processed using ANCOVA SPSS program 25 version. The results of this study showed that the data was normally distributed. It was proven by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test that the significant value (p) of tests were .067 for pre-test of the experimental class, .102 for pre-test of the control class, .233 for post-test of the experimental class, and .167 for post-test of the control class. (p> 0.05). The homogeneity variances test shows that (p) was .437 (p> 0.05). The homogeneity regression shows that (p) was .467 (p> 0.05). The relationship between covariate and dependent variable was linear at 0.000 (p< 0.05). Then, the result of ANCOVA shows that (p) was 0.003 (p<0.05). It was enough evidence to reject H0 and accept Ha. Based on the finding, the researcher concludes that Yourube media is an effective media in improving speaking ability.
