Abstract

ABSTRACT One of the functions of Arabic is as a communication tool, to communicate well, it is necessary to master Arabic vocabulary. In developing Arabic vocabulary various learning methods can be done. One of them is the method of learning to guess words. In learning Arabic, MA NU Sidoarjo is one of the schools where students lack vocabulary mastery, the lack of increasing vocabulary mastery is because the Arabic language learning method in the class is done in a monotonous and boring way. Thus, it makes students feel bored. For that, we need the right method in the context of learning Arabic vocabulary so that the needs and vocabulary can be met. In this research, How to Apply Guessing Learning Method to Improve Arabic Mufrodat for 10th Grade Students of MA NU Sidoarjo, (2) How to Influence Guessing Learning Method to Improve Arabic Mufrodat of 10th Grade Students of MA NU Sidoarjo. This study uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods. The population of this study came from 10th Grade at MA NU Sidoarjo, and the sample was 10th Grade of Social Studies with a total of 28 students. Data were collected utilizing pre-test and post-test. Then the data were analyzed using Paired sample t-test. The results of the study at MA NU Sidoarjo showed that the significance value of 0.000 was smaller than the 0.05 significance (0.000 < 0.05), so the hypothesis (Ha) in this study was declared accepted. This means that the variable using the guessing method affects the mastery of Arabic vocabulary before using the guessing method and after using the guessing method in 10th Grade MA NU Sidoarjo.
