Abstract

Online learning in the middle of Covid-19 Pandemic demands teachers able to conduct new way of teaching. As reported by studies about online learning, there are various advantages and disadvantages of online learning. As the most directly impacted partly, teachers’ perceptions on the obstacles perceived during the online learning need more attention for future improvement. The researcher choose this topic because of the booming phenomenon, this research focuses on revealing the obstacle that teachers’ perceived of using e-learning during covid-19 pandemic and revealing aspects of e-learning that can be improved to foster the online teaching based on teacher’s perception. This research used descriptive quantitative research method, which is appropriate as the design of this research because the instruments were close-ended questionnaire that collected via google form. The data were collected from 33 respondents, which 18 teachers are from MA Zainul Hasan and 15 teachers are from MA Ma’arif Pare. The researcher analyzed statistically using SPSS Version 21 in menu anlyze – descriptive statistics – frequencies, counting manually also can be the optional way by counting the percentage of the teachers’ answer in each item of the questionnaire to knowing the teachers’ perception on the obstacles of using elearning during covid-19 pandemic The finding of this research discovering most of obstacles that teachers’ perceived in e-learning classes are related with teachers’ knowledge, time management, and lack of students’ motivation while conducted online learning. However, those obstacles are able to solve with suggestions such as participating in workshop or training to increase teachers’ ability in teaching, discuss with another teachers while faced problems, communicate and pay attention more to students while conduct e-learning
