Abstract
Vocabulary is a list of words usually alphabetical orders and with explain of their meaning less complete that a dictionary. Motivation is an internal state that makes us to do something, pushes us in particular direction and keeps us involved in particularly activities. Writing is a process of creativity of thoughts, ideas, and feelings expressed in writing language with the goal of certain. The aim of this research plays an important part of students’ English lesson. However, learners ever faced some difficulties in learning, one of them are less idea and imagination. This research was investigate the correlation among vocabulary mastery, motivation and writing ability of the ten grade students of Ma. Fatahillah Tarempa Anambas Island. The design of this research was quantitative research the focus pf this research is the correlation among vocabulary mastery, motivation and writing ability. The participants of this study were one class that are consists of 32 students. The format of the test is offline test by using paper. The data were analyzed Pearson product moment and multiple regression. The result of this research showed that 1. The correlation between vocabulary mastery and students’ motivation of the value sig (2-tailed) is .002 compared to .05, the significant value is lower than .05 (.002 < .05). The conclusion is there is correlation between vocabulary mastery and students’ motivation. 2. The correlation students’ motivation and writing ability of the value sig (2-tailed) is .006 compared to .05, the significant value is lower than .05 (.006 < .05). The conclusion is there is correlation between vocabulary mastery and students’ motivation. 4. The correlation among vocabulary mastery, motivation and writing ability of the value sig f change (2-tailed) is .002 compared to .05, the significant value is lower than .05 (.002 < .05). Ho was
