English Language Education Department, Faculty of Tarbiyah, UIN Syekh Wasil Kediri. Advisors: Dr. Sri Wahyuni,M.Pd., and Dr. Ary Setya Budhi Ningrum, M.Pd. Keyword : Reading Interest , Reading comprehension, Writing Skill, Correlation Writing and reading is an skill that can never be separated from the educational aspect. There are many factors affecting writing skill, namely reading interest, reading comprehension, and so on. However the relationship among those still need to be investigated.Therefore the purpose of this research were to investigate (1) the correlation between students reading interest and writing skill (2) the correlation between comprehension and writing skill (3) the correlation between reading interest and reading comprehension. (4.) the correlation students reading incomprehension toward writing skill. This re search used quantitative method with correlational re search design. The population of this research was the seventh students of MTsN 2 Kota Blitar. The total of sample was 102. Data were collected by using questionnaire and test. To analyze the data, Kendals Tau – b and Multiple Correlation were applied in this research This re search found that the correlation between reading interest and reading writing skill was 0.396, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, it means that the significance value is smaller than 0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The correlation shows positive relationship between reading interest and writing skill with interpretation low relationship. Then, the result of the correlation between reading comprehension and writing skill was 0.391, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, it means that the significance value is smaller than 0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The correlation correlation shows positive relationship between reading comprehension and writing skill with interpretation: low relationship. The result of the correlation between reading interst and reading comprehension was 0.444, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, it means that the significance value is smaller than 0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The correlation shows positive relationship between reading interest and reading comprehension with interpretation: medium relationship. Furthermore, the result of the correlation between reading interest, reading comprehension and writing skill r= 0.606 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, it means that the significance value is smaller than 0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The result shows positive relationship with strong category so it can be concluded that reading interest and reading comprehension both have correlation with writing skill.
