Implementing Story Mapping Strategy to Improve Reading Comprehension on Narrative Text of the Students of MA Ak-Hidayah Termas Baron Nganjuk 2015/2016, English Department, Faculty of Education, State College for Islamic Studies (STAIN) Kediri. Key Words:Text Narrative, Story Mapping Strategy, Reading Comprehension Reading comprehension is a process to recognize the text and remember any information in the text. The students get difficulties in reading comprehensions, for instance, they get difficulties to convey the gist of the text, and the teacher builds their background knowledge at the beginning about the text. Acquire the students' reading comprehension is need to stimulate the students mind and corrective feedback. Thus, in this study, researcher will try to apply story mapping strategy for teaching reading comprehension. The purpose of the research is the students were able to map out basic component of the story such as setting, problems, goal, actions, and outcomes. Story mapping provides structure and organization so students were able to comprehend the story more effective. This researcher used classroom action research (CAR) in applying story mapping strategy to the tenth grade students of MA Al-Hidayah Termas Baron in the academic year 2015/2016. This study consisted of two cycles in reading comprehension text. Each cycle consisted of two meetings. It was focused of planning, acting, observation, and reflecting. The instruments that were used in this research were lesson plan, achievement sheet and questionnaire. The criteria of the study first, the students achievement class of percentage was 80%. And the second, the average score of the students was 80.0. Based on the research result, the average score of students in cycle 1 is 73.42 were 10 students get good score and 9 students get pore score. And the achievement class percentage is 52,63%. It has not reached the criteria of success in this study. So, the researcher revised the plan and continues to the next cycle. In cycle 2 the average score of the students increase becoming 81,57 where 16 students get good score and 3 students get pore score. And the achievement class of percentage increase becoming 84,21%, It has reached the criteria of success which was decided by the researcher and collaborator that the students achievement improves 80% or more get score 75 minimally. Based on these findings can be concluded that the application of the story mapping strategy can improve the students' reading comprehension to the tenth grade students of MAAI-Hidayah Termas Baron in the academic year 2015/2016
