Abstract

Teaching media are an important component in the learning process. Presentation of teaching medias affects students' absorption of the material being taught. The teaching media used at MTs Nidhomiyah Surowono Canggu Badas still use teaching media in the form of module books. Therefore, it is necessary to have companion teaching medias that are able to present material in an interesting form and follow the development of Science and Technology (IPTEK). The objectives of this development research were: (1) to produce interactive PPT-based Arabic teaching media for grade 7 students in even semesters; (2) and to explain the effectiveness of teaching medias.This development research uses a Research and Development (RnD) research approach that adapts the ADDIE development research model. And using this type of experimental research. The development procedures used are: (1) needs analysis, curriculum, and student characteristics; (2) designing products based on the principle of developing teaching medias; (3) perform product validation by material and design experts; (4) conducting product trials in the field with control and experimental class subjects; (5) perform product evaluation. The results of the development research show that: (1) this development research produces a product in the form of Interactive PPT-based Arabic teaching medias for the remainder of the 7th grade even semester; (2) the teaching media developed were declared very feasible with a percentage of 92.85% by material experts and 97.5% by design experts; (3) the teaching materials developed have a level of effectiveness with the acquisition of sig(t-tailed) 0.000 <0.05 in the simple independent test using the SPSS application, which means that there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of the control and experimental classes. In addition, it was strengthened by statistical calculations, the average posttest score of 82.50 in the experimental class was higher than the average posttest value of the control class, which was 69.35. So this teaching media's development product is declared to be effectively used in the process of learning Arabic in grade 7 even semester.
