Keywords: Reading Difficulties, Reading Comprehension, EFL Learner. Reading comprehension is a skill that can make learn easily and fast. Reading comprehension is a problem that is often faced by EFL learners. A survey found that most of the students had difficulty reading English textbooks. Lack of word knowledge is recognized as one of the main problems. The purpose of this research is to analyze the reading comprehension difficulties in fourth semester students of English department at IAIN Kediri academic year 2021/2022. This study involved 56 English department students of IAIN Kediri. This qualitative research was done by questionnaire and interviews in collecting data. The method used for this study is descriptive qualitative. The researcher would describe descriptively the results of the close-ended questionnaire and the interviews. The result of the analysis showed that difficulties in reading comprehension. There are several factors that affect difficulty in reading comprehension. First, vocabulary becomes their main difficulty in reading comprehension because they feel lack of vocabulary makes reading comprehension take a long time. The second one is grammar knowledge. After they understand the meaning of a word, they also have to think about the meaning of the sentence they read from a grammatical perspective. The third one is reading interest. Respondents felt that reading very long texts is boring, unless they like the topic they are reading.
