Abstract

Google Classroom is an alternative learning application that does not need to take place inside a lecture hall. Google Classroom provides very useful facilities to help teachers and students in the online learning process. It is not only easy to access but also can be done anywhere and anytime. Google classroom is considered an important element both in supporting online learning and EFL learning, especially learning language assessment and testing development. The purpose of this study is to find students' perceptions of the use of google classroom and students' problems with the use of google classroom in language assessment and testing development course. This study is a quantitative research and the design used was survey research. The researcher used questionnaire as instrument to collect data. The sample of this study was 47 students. The questionnaire consists of 23 items. The researcher analyzed the data from Google Form. Then, the result of questionnaire was calculated using IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. The data obtained through five point of Likert scale survey and reported in percentage. From the results of the study that most students agree and have a positive response to the use of Google Classroom, especially in the LATD course. Viewed from the aspect of ease of access, 89% of students have a very positive perception. They feel that Google Classroom is a very easy system to understand, starting from how to send and receive assignments. The aspect of usefulness, 83% of students have a very positive perception. According to them Google Classroom can help to submit assignments on time because there is a time limit in Google Classroom. From the aspect of communication, 82% of students have a very positive perception. That lecturers are friendly to students. From the aspect of satisfaction, 80% of students have a very positive perception. The main problem 58% of students find it difficult to learn LATD lessons with google classroom there is no signal at my house, 69% of students feel frustrated using google classroom in LATD course because the internet network is slow and 68% of the trouble of access Google classroom at LATD due to cost constraints.
