Abstract
Reading activities can increase knowledge from a reading by understanding the form of a written text, one of which is by summarizing the information needed from a text that is accurate and efficient. The aim of this study was to find significant correlation between student’ reading interest, students’ reading strategy and students’ reading comprehension. This study used quantitative approaches and the design is correlation. Respondents of this study was 103 of tenth grade of SMA Negeri 2 Pare. Test were 20 items for every variable. The answering is multiple choice for reading comprehension test, and questionnaire for reading interest and reading strategy with likert scale. The researcher used Pearson Correlation SPSS 18.0 to analyses the data of this study. The data showed that students’ reading interest and students’ reading comprehension have significant 0.000 the value is 0.488, students’ reading strategy and students’ reading comprehension have significant 0.005 the value is 0.276, students’ reading interest and students’ reading strategy have significant 0.000 the value 0.491. Then, all of variable have correlation. It means that Ha should be accepted and Ho is rejected. The results of the previous explanation can be seen that there is a relationship between students' reading interest, students' reading strategy and students' reading comprehension.
