ABSTRACT Zahrifah, Aminatuz Moya. 2026. Exploring The Implementation of International Class Program in Budi Utomo Jombang. Thesis. Department of English Language Education. Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN Syekh Wasil Kediri. Advisor: 1) Dr. Irma Khoirot Daulay, M.Hum., 2) Annisa Aulia Saharani, M.Pd. Key words: Implementation, International Class Program, Boarding Schooll, English Learning, Challenges The International Class Program (ICP) plays an important role in English Language Teaching (ELT) because it offers a deeper learning experience through bilingual methods and activities focused on real communication. This program not only strengthens students' English skills but also equips them with global abilities like critical thinking, teamwork, and cultural adaptability, which are really important in today's age of internationalized education. This study aims to find out how the implementation of the international class program is carried out at Budi Utomo Boarding School. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, where information is collected through observation, dialogue, and note-taking, involving teachers, students, and the school's deputy head of curriculum. The data were collected using interviews, and data analysis was conducted using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This research shows that the International Class Program at Budi Utomo Boarding School is carried out using a bilingual method (english and indonesian), English Day activities, a TOEFL program, and the addition of foreign language lessons like Japanese and German. This program has successfully improved students' language skills, but it still faces challenges such as differences in background, variations in skill levels, and time management, which the school must continue to assess. The research findings show that the implementation of the International Class Program emphasizes learning two languages, namely Indonesian and English. Research results indicate that the International Class Program is these various activities also help students develop foreign language skills. However, researchers encountered several obstacles during the program implementation, these obstacles require continuous evaluation and adjustment to ensure the ICP achieves its goals. Overall, the study contributes to understanding how international education can be adapted within Indonesian boarding schools, balancing global standards with local traditions and values.
