Abstract

This research aims to analyze how the eight dimensions of Profil Lulusan developed by Kemendikdasmen (2025) are represented through verbal and visual elements in Orion and the Dark (2024) and to identify the most prominent dimension. The eight dimensions include Faith and Devotion to God Almighty, Citizenship, Critical Reasoning, Creativity, Collaboration, Independence, Health and Well-being, and Communication. This research employed a qualitative descriptive design using Krippendorff’s content analysis approach. The data were collected from verbal elements, including dialogues and narrations, and visual elements, including facial expressions, gestures, character actions, and symbolic imagery involving the main characters, Orion and Dark. Data collection involved repeated viewing, transcription, observation, coding, categorization, and interpretation based on the eight dimensions of Profil Lulusan. The findings revealed that all eight dimensions of Profil Lulusan were represented through both verbal and visual elements. Critical Reasoning emerged as the most prominent dimension with seven occurrences, while the other dimensions were represented through gratitude and spiritual awareness, empathy, imagination, teamwork, courage, emotional awareness, and communication. These findings indicate that Orion and the Dark (2024) serves as an educational medium that supports students’ holistic development, particularly in fostering critical thinking, emotional growth, empathy, and interpersonal understanding.
