Keywords : Wordwall, Vocabulary Mastery, Learning Media Vocabulary is one of the essential components in language learning, and the lack of vocabulary mastery can hinder students’ ability to communicate effectively. Traditional methods such as using flashcards may feel monotonous and reduce students' motivation. Wordwall is a digital platform that allows interactive and engaging learning activities designed to enhance students’ participation and learning outcomes. The aim of this research is to find out whether Wordwall web application is effective than traditional flashcard in students’ vocabulary mastery at MTsN 1 Kediri. The design of this study was a quasi-experimental study involving two groups, namely the experimental group taught using Wordwall and the control group taught using traditional flashcards. The population was grade VII students of MTsN 1 Kediri. The sample was seven classes VII-D and VII-E. Each group consisted of 34 students. Data were collected using tests, which included a pretest and a posttest. The data were analyzed using ANCOVA with SPSS program. However, the normality assumption was not fulfilled, as indicated by the results of the assumption testing. Consequently, the researcher used a nonparametric statistical test, namely the Mann-Whitney U test, to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group. This can be seen from the mean score. The average scores of the experimental and control groups' pretest were 64.71 and 52.50, respectively, while the post test scores were 93.09 and 66.47. This shows that the mean score of the experimental group, which was taught using the wordwall web application was higher than the score of the control group, which was taught using flashcards. Since the data were not normally distributed, the researcher applied a nonparametric statistical test using the Mann Whitney U test. The test results showed a significance value of 0.000 which was smaller than 0.05. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis was accepted. This means that the use of the Wordwalls web application was significantly effective in improving students' vocabulary mastery at MTsN 1 Kediri compared to traditional flashcards. This digital tool has proven to be a useful medium in vocabulary learning. Therefore, English teachers are encouraged to utilize Wordwall in their vocabulary instruction to foster more engaging, interactive, and effective learning environments.
