Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the area of education is used as a tool for human assistants that are displayed on virtual displays computers, and mobile devices. The advancement of AI use today supports the area of education that focuses on human growth as creature with reason, knowledge, and ethics. AI can change how education is conducted in general. One of the technologies in the field of education is ChatGPT. ChatGPT has the ability to be an easy learning that also allows students to get a more enjoyable and lighter learning experiences. The purpose of this study is to find out the impact of using ChatGPT on students’ English learning behavior. The research employed a descriptive qualitative research design to acquire factual data pertain to an event or phenomenon directly from the field. The subject of this study was students of IAIN Kediri semester 6 from English department. The researcher collect data by questionnaire and interview guide. Based on the results, using ChatGPT for learning activities can give positive impact for students’ learning behavior. Using ChatGPT increases students’ knowledge, critical thinking, and their confidence to give arguments. On the other hand, students still using book for leaning activities.
