The Effectiveness of the Whispered Chain Game Method to Increase Learning Interest in Maharah Istima's Class X Students at MBI Amanatul Ummah Pacet Mojokerto Thesis, Arabic Language Education Department, Tarbiyah Faculty, State Islamic Institute of Kediri, 2023 Keyword: Chain Whispering Game Method, Interest in Learning, Listening This research was conducted in an effort to identify and analyze the effectiveness of using the chain whisper game method in increasing students' interest in listening to and understanding Arabic. This research used a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of two groups: the experimental group that applied the chain whisper game method of learning and the control group that used conventional methods. The instruments used in this study were the interest in learning test and the Maharah Istima's ability test. This study used a pre-experimental approach with intact-Group Comparation. In this design, questionnaires were given twice, namely before and after the experiment. To find out whether there is a significant difference between students' learning interests before and after being given learning treatment using chain whisper games on MBI Amanatul Ummah students The results showed that the group of students who participated in learning with the chain whisper game method showed a significant increase in their interest in learning compared to the control group. Based on the independent sample t test above, based on the data on the scores of control class and experimental class students, it can be seen in the Lower and Upper columns, each of which is negative, namely lower -5.805 and upper -.929. While sig (2-tailed) is valued at 0.008 and 0.09. So the tie from the output data shows that H0 is rejected which means Ha is accepted. Based on the calculation of the N-Gain Score test, it shows that the average N-Gain score for the experimental class (chain whisper game method) is 62.3188 or 62% included in the category of quite effective. With an N-Gain Score of at least 225% and a maximum of 375%. The average N-Gain score for the control class (conventional method) was 32.589 or 32.6%, including the ineffective category. With an N-Gain score of at least -20% and a maximum of 83.33%. Which means that the application of the chain whisper game method is effective in increasing the interest in learning sisiwa towards maharah istima'.
