The Effectiveness of Kahoot Game in Student’s Vocabulary Mastery at The Tenth Grade of Senior High School, Thesis, Department of English Language Education Faculty of Education State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Of Kediri.Advisors: 1)Erna Nurkholida.M.Pd 2)Ima Fitria.M.Pd Keywords:Kahoot application, Vocabulary The objective of this research is to find out whether there is a significant difference in vocabulary mastery between students who are taught by using Kahoot and students who are not taught by using Kahoot. This quasi-experimental study examines the effectiveness of Kahoot game in student’s vocabulary mastery at the tenth grade of senior high school. The study employed a non-equivalent control group design, both experimental and control groups were given pretest before treatment and post test. The subjects in this research is tenth gradeof SMAN 4 Kota Kediri. The population was 376 students The samples in this study were 33 students from the experimental class and 33 students from the control class. The data analysis technique used is ANCOVA The finding shows that the significant difference is at 0.001 It is less than 0.05 (0.001<0.05). So, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in student vocabulary mastery, between students who are taught by using Kahoot and students who are not taught by using Kahoot at the tenth grade students of SMAN 4 Kota Kediri academic year 2020/2021.
