ABSTRACT Satrianing Arum. 2021. “An Analysis Of Learning Models During Covid-19 On Mtsn 2 Kota Kediri”. A Graduating Paper. Department of english Languange Education. Faculty of Tarbiyah. State Islamic Institute of Kediri. Advisor I Dr. Fathor Rasyid, M.Pd. and Advisor II Dr. Mukhammad Abdullah, M.Ag. Keywords: English Teacher’ Learning Models, Direct Based Learning, Cooperative Learning, Discovery Learning, Online learning during Covid19 pandemic, teaching online This research was conducted in MTsN 2 Kota Kediri with the background that is happening, the condition where all schools run online learning and limit meetings between teachers and students.While online learning is very new for all circles, therefore researcher conduct research on what learning models are applied by teachers in educating based on the theory of Agus Suprijono.There are three theories presented, namely Direct Learning Model based on behaviourism, Cooperative Learning Model is where all activities are led and directed by teachers and Discovery Learning is a teacher as a stimulus provider so that students are more active and critical in facing the problems given. Researcher use Qualitative Descriptive method, where researcher search for research data through interviews to speaker, namely one of the teachers from MTsN 2 Kota Kediri, Mr. Mujiyono, M.Pd.as an 8th grade teacher who teaches excellent classes. By asking questions based on the theory that has been taken, namely the theory about direct learning models, cooperative learning and discovery learning and making observations on the online learning media used by the school, namely E-Learning Madrasah, also take an audio record and documentation to make the data more accurate and clear. The purpose of this interview is to know how to deliver materials to students, how to assess students' assignments and behaviors, how teachers‟ strategies to keep students learning with passion, and also identify about the weaknesses and advantages of online learning. The finding shows that Mr. Mujiyono chooses the Discovery Learning as his learning model that is applied in his class. It is provided by the theory of Discovery earning and the fact are related which are include the characteristics of problem-based learning prioritizing the activeness of students in learning and responding the problems or materials that is served by the teacher. In other word Students are required to be more active and critical about problems, especially in the work of online learning process.
