Abstract

Recently, the COVID-19 virus has spread in many countries and caused a universal pandemic, especially in Indonesia. This pandemic gives universal problems in Indonesian citizens, industry, economy, especially in education. Due to this pandemic the Ministry of Education and Culture issued Circular Letters 2 and 3 of 2020, in which it explained ways to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the educational environment. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach and used survey research as a research design. This research used participant in Eleventh Grade of SMAN 6 Kota Kediri that consist of 280. For the sample, it took 30% of students which are 84 students as the sample of the study. Close-ended questionnaire is the instrument of this study. The data obtained through four-point of Likert scale and reported in percentage. The finding of this research shows that the students’ perception on the use of Google Classroom is very positive. From a total sample of 84 students’, 78% of students in eleventh grade of SMAN 6 Kota Kediri have a very positive perception on the students’ experience toward Google Classroom in Learning English. Meanwhile, for negative statement, from a total sample of 84 students, 72% of students in eleventh grade at SMAN 6 Kota Kediri have a negative perception. The second aspect, from a total sample of 84 students, 79% of students in eleventh grade at SMAN 6 Kota Kediri have a very positive on the perception toward Google Classroom in Learning English. Meanwhile, for negative statements, from a total sample of 84 students, for negative statement, 74% of students in eleventh grade at SMAN 6 Kota Kediri have a very negative perception.
