Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas I di MIN 1 Kota Kediri. Latar belakang penelitian berangkat dari hasil observasi yang menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di kelas I masih monoton dan berpusat pada guru. Media yang digunakan terbatas pada buku ajar dan modul hitam putih sehingga kurang menarik minat belajar peserta didik. Akibatnya, banyak peserta didik pasif, kurang fokus, dan belum mencapai hasil belajar optimal. Karena itu, diperlukan pengembangan media pembelajaran yang inovatif, interaktif, dan menarik bagi peserta didik kelas rendah, salah satunya melalui pemanfaatan media Smart Box yang bersifat tiga dimensi serta mampu menampilkan materi secara visual dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengadaptasi model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian meliputi ahli materi, ahli media, guru kelas I, dan peserta didik kelas I. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, angket validasi, serta tes hasil belajar (pretest dan posttest). Data dianalisis secara kualitatif (deskriptif) dan kuantitatif menggunakan analisis persentase serta uji N-Gain untuk melihat peningkatan hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Smart Box yang dikembangkan sangat layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Validasi ahli materi memperoleh skor rata-rata 95% dan termasuk kategori sangat layak, sedangkan validasi ahli media memperoleh skor 98%. Respon peserta didik juga sangat positif dengan skor 91%. Selain itu, uji efektivitas melalui perbandingan nilai pretest dan posttest menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,70 (kategori tinggi). Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan Smart Box membantu peserta didik memahami konsep Pancasila, mengenali bagian-bagian sekolah, serta meningkatkan minat dan motivasi belajar. This study aims to develop instructional media for the Pancasila subject to improve the learning outcomes of 1st Grade students at MIN 1 Kota Kediri. The background of this study is based on observations showing that the PPKn learning process in 1st Grade remains monotonous and teacher-centered. The media used are limited to textbooks and black-and-white modules, which fail to attract students’ interest. As a result, many students are passive, less focused, and unable to achieve optimal learning outcomes. Therefore, innovative, interactive, and engaging learning media are needed for lower-grade students, one of which is the use of a three-dimensional Smart Box, which can present material visually and contextually. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method by adapting the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects included material experts, media experts, 1st Grade teachers, and 1st Grade students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, validation questionnaires, and learning outcome tests (pretest and posttest). The data were analyzed qualitatively (descriptive) and quantitatively using percentage analysis and the N-Gain test to measure improvements in learning outcomes. The results showed that the developed Smart Box media is highly feasible and effective for learning. Validation from material experts scored an average of 95%, categorized as highly feasible, while media experts provided a score of 98%. Students also gave very positive responses with a score of 91%. Furthermore, the effectiveness test comparing pretest and posttest results indicated a significant improvement in learning outcomes, with an N-Gain value of 0.70, categorized as high. These findings demonstrate that the Smart Box helps students understand Pancasila concepts, recognize school areas, and increase their interest and motivation to learn.
