Abstract
This study examines the phenomenon of quarter-life crisis among individuals aged 18–30, characterized by identity confusion, anxiety about the future, and socio-economic pressures, by exploring Qur’anic solutions through thematic interpretation (tafsīr maudhū‘ī) using Wahbah al-Zuhaili’s Tafsir al-Munīr and integrating Abraham Maslow’s theory of human needs. Employing a qualitative-descriptive approach, the research analyzes verses related to young Qur’anic figures such as Prophet Yusuf, Musa, Ibrahim, Ashabul Kahfi, and Prophet Muhammad SAW in QS. Yusuf: 22–25, QS. al-Qasas: 14–21, QS. al-Anbiya’: 60, QS. al-Kahfi: 13, and QS. ad-Dhuha: 6–8, all of whom experienced inner struggles, alienation, and the search for meaning during youth. The findings show that the Qur’an provides holistic solutions through spiritual values such as patience, faith, and trust in God; psychological approaches such as self-reflection and intellectual courage; and social guidance such as taking responsibility and distancing oneself from toxic environments. The integration with Maslow’s hierarchy confirms that psychological crises in youth can become a transitional phase toward self-actualization, positioning the Qur’an as both a source of moral guidance and a relevant framework for understanding modern psychological challenges.
