Abstract

The result of the study shows that in several education news by Education Today Magazine is found seven (7) idiomatic expressions including two (2) similes, one (1) binomial, one (1) trinomials, two (2) clichés and one (1) fixed statement. This result is stated that important for the students to know the types of idiomatic expression and its meaning. So that, the students will find out words, phrases, unique sentences, and its meaning. This is not only for students, but also for teachers, so that teachers can teach using varied sentences and help students to think critically and deeply in interpreting a sentence.
