Keywords: Educandy Application, Vocabulary Teaching, Students’ Vocabulary Mastery. Vocabulary mastery is a crucial aspect of language learning that supports the development of other language skills. Finding effective techniques or media to enhance students’ vocabulary is essential for teachers. One of the media that can be utilized is the Educandy application, which provides a variety of interactive and enjoyable learning activities. These features are designed to enhance students’ motivation, encourage active participation, and make the learning experience more enjoyable. This study aims to investigate whether the Educandy application is effective than the word match in students vocabulary mastery at MTsN 6 Nganjuk. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design. The population consisted of all seventh-grade students of MTsN 6 Nganjuk in the academic year 2024/2025. The samples were taken from two classes: class VII-2 as the experimental class, which was taught using the Educandy application, and class VII-3 as the control class, which was taught using word match methods. The research instrument used was a multiple choices vocabulary test. The 100 test items were analyzed for validity and reliability before being used. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests given to both classes. The data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U Test via SPSS 25 due to the data’s not normal distribution. The results of the Levene’s test using SPSS 25 showed a significance value of 0.432 (p > 0.05), indicating homogeneity of variance. The Mann-Whitney U Test showed a significance value of 0.003 (p < 0.05), which means the null hypothesis was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. The findings indicate a significant difference in vocabulary mastery, showing that the Educandy application is more effective than the word match method in students’ vocabulary mastery at MTsN 6 Nganjuk.
