Abstract

Learning media is important in teaching learning process, especially in English learning because English is foreign language in Indonesia. The teacher should use interesting learning media to make the students interest to study English, especially at second grade students of MA Al-Manar Prambon that have difficulty to understand English Developing the interactive learning media by using articulate storyline for teaching English at second grade students of MA Al- Manar in this research is used model proposed by Borg and Gall. This model was chosen because it provides the researcher with simpler and clear steps in developing the materials. But the researcher modified the model according to the needs of the research purpose by small scale, and to meet a gap that cannot be fulfilled by Borg and Gall's model. The adapted model for developing articulate storyline as interactive learning media for teaching English consist of seven steps, they are need analysis & study reference collection, developing preliminary form of product, expert's validation, revision 1, Field Testing, revision 2 and final product. In collecting the data, is used validation sheet which given to the expert to determine the eligibility or quality of interactive learning media After that, to know the responds of the students and English teacher on the interactive learning media which was developed by articulate storyline is by giving of questionnaire sheet. Based on the validation result, the interactive learning media by using articulate storyline for teaching English got percentage 71,7%. It can be concluded that the interactive learning media had enough quality. While the results of student response got percentage 91%. Whereas based on the English teacher's respond, got percentage 94%. So it can be concluded that the interactive learning media by using articulate storyline for teaching English got very good respond as learning media which help them to study English. So, the developing an interactive learning by using articulate storyline can be used for teaching English at the second grade students of MA Al-Manar Prambon Nganjuk.
