Keywords: Analysis, Higher Order Thinking Skill, Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy Students in Indonesia are required to have high order thinking skills. The Government measures the Standards competency of graduates in Indonesia by conducting national exams each year. They included HOTS questions and raised the level of difficulty to test students ' thinking skills that have been applied to the 2013 curriculum. The aims of this study is to know the features of HOTS Questions of English. The researcher examine one package of English National Examination from Junior High School Level (SMP) Academic year 2018/2019 based on Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy. This study uses descriptive qualitative approach. To collect the data, this research used documentation. There are 50 multiple choice items analyzed by researcher using Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy. The researcher analyzed one by one the questions of English National Examination then calculated the percentage of questions at each level of cognitive. Descriptive statistics are used to describe the basic features of the data in this study. The results showed the distribution of the HOTS were only 17 questions and LOTS 33 questions. It showed that the most dominant level in the English National Examination was lower order thinking skills (LOTS). It was 66 % of 100 % while it was 34 % for higher order thinking skills (HOTS). The features of HOTS question are student be able to: 1) transfer of ideas from the context in which they were taught to new contexts, 2) Processing and implementing information, 3) Use the information to resolve the problem, 4) Analyse ideas and information critically.
