Abstract

Slang is an informal language used by a particular group. This study discusses the slang word analysis contained in The Boss Baby Movie. He wrote that this study had the purpose of finding the type and dominant of slang used in the Boss Baby Movie. The research method used in this study is qualitative research with document manuscripts as a source of research. In these terms one by one the words containing slang word are used one by one using dictionaries and theories related to slang. The researcher is the main instrument in this research. The source of the data taken from this research is the movie script used in The Boss Baby Movie. The result of this research, there are four types of slang, namely 3 words Cockney Slang, 11 words Public House Slang, 6 words Society Slang, and 2 words Commerce Slang in the form of phrases and words. From this analysis, the research find dominant of slang words in the movie. The dominant of slang is Public House Slang.
