Abstract

ABSTRACT Muhammad Zeid, 2022, The teaching process in improving the speaking skill of students in the Akbarnas program (a case study at Markaz Arabiyah Pare, Kediri), thesis, Arabic Language Education Study Program, Postgraduate, Kediri State Islamic Institute. Advisor: Dr. Umar Faruq, M.Fil.I, and Dr. Hj. Nurul Hanani, M.H.I. Keywords: Process, Teaching, Speaking Skills Correct and appropriate teaching process is important in teaching Arabic, especially in teaching speaking skills to non-native speakers like Indonesian students. Therefore, this research focuses on three objectives, which are as follows: 1) To reveal the teaching process in improving the speaking skill of the students of the Akbarnas program at Markaz Arabiyah Pare, Kediri. 2) Reveal the supporting and inhibiting factors for improving speaking skills in the Akbarnas program at Markaz Arabiyah Pare, Kediri. And as for 3) reveal the advantages and disadvantages of teaching speaking skills in the Akbarnas program at Markaz Arabiyah Pare, Kediri. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Researchers also used data collection methods from interviews, observation and documentation. Then to analyze the data, the researcher used Millis and Huberman's analyst theory by collecting data, presenting it, reducing it, and drawing conclusions from it. At the stage of checking the validation of the data, researchers used the triangulation method. The The results of this research indicate: 1) that the approach used in the Akbarnas program at Markaz Arabiyah Pare, Kediri is the communicative approach. The strategy used is the strategy focused on educational materials, the strategy based on learner effectiveness, and the interactive education strategy. The method used is the direct method, the grammar and translation method, and the selective method. 2) The supporting factors consist of the students' strong motivations, discipline and enthusiasm in the application and application, the presence of the applicable Arabic language environment and the number of additional programs. The impeding factors are the specific time, students' motivation increases and decreases, and the students' diverse academic experience. 3) The advantages and disadvantages of teaching speaking skills in the Akbarnas program are grouped into three categories, namely: advantages and disadvantages in terms of the educational process, advantages and disadvantages in terms of educational methods, and advantages and disadvantages in terms of the program used.
