Abstract

Movie is the source of entertaiment, attracting the audience as it is made according to the liking of the audience. It is aimed for the maximum profit. Kung fu panda is a movie, as it is not an art and attracting the audience for entertaiment. In the movie sometimes found dialog containing utterances that are difficult to understand. Meaning conveyed in the movie, writers sometimes make a misinterpretation between the audience with other audiences. In conditions like that an analysis of illocutionary has an appropriate role to assess a use of language. Formulation of the problem in this research is how the illocutionary speech acts in a KungFu Panda 3 movie by DreamWorks Animation. The purpose of this study was (1) to describe illocutionary language acts in the Kungfu Panda 3 movie; (2) Describe how the delivery illocutionary speech acts in the Kungfu Panda 3 movie. This type of research is types and function of illocutionary act, ie solving existing problems based on existing data Based on the theory in this study, researchers examined five types of speech acts are illocutionary speech acts assertive, directive speech acts, commissive speech acts, expressive speech acts, and the declaration speech acts. The data drawn from this research is a form of Po’s dialogue contained in the KungFu Panda 3 movie. To obtain data that can support the object of this research, the researchers used a qualitative descriptive method. In this method the steps of data collection, analyzing data, and making inferences. Data collection techniques used to obtain the data in this study is a technique and techniques refer to note. The results obtained in this analysis is that found 37 illocutionary language acts consisting of the form of illocutionary language acts assertive, directive, commissive, expressive and declarative. The details of this information (1) The form of illocutionary assertive language acts are 13 expressions; (2) the form of a directive illocutionary language sentences was 10; (3) form commissive illocutionary language expression was 5; (4) form illocutionary speech expressive speech was 8; And (5) a declarative illocutionary language act was 1 speech. In this research also found function of illocutionary act, such as collaborative function, convivial function, competitive function and conflictive function. The details of function (1)) The competitive are 10; (2) the form convivial are 7; (3) form collaborative was 18; And (4) conflictive was 2.
