Abstract
This research is located in MAN Purwoasri. It is an Islamic school which has so many lessons of general and especially for Islam. Absolutely, the students need more effort to understand about that. Moreover, English is not their mother tongue so that they get difficulty to understand. So, when they are in the class they feel bored, and then it influences their ability in learning English. For the problem of this study is “What are strategies of English teacher’s to solve students’ boredom in learning English at MAN Purwoasri?” Its purpose is to know about the strategies of English teacher’s to solve students’ boredom in learning English at MAN Purwoasri. The research design of this study is using descriptive qualitative. The writer interviews the third grade students of MAN Purwoasri to determine the English teacher as the subject. After getting the information about the English teacher, the writer observes and interviews the teacher to know about the strategy that is used to solve students’ boredom in learning English at MAN Purwoasri. Based on observation and interview with English teacher as the subject of this study, the writer concludes that English teacher uses some strategies to solve students’ boredom in learning English. Those are using active learning method, using media and facility, closed with the students, give motivation, and humor in the classroom. All of them are very effective to make the students are enjoy in the classroom.
