Thesis, Department of English Language Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah, State Islamic Institute (IAIN) of Kediri. Advisors: (I) Nur Afifi, M.App.Ling, Ph.D, (II) Fitriatul Masitoh, S.S, M.Pd. Keywords: Perception, Self-Regulated Learning, Online Learning, Writing Online learning is a learning carried out via the internet/online computer where students and teachers do not interact in their real location. One of the supporting elements that plays a crucial role in online learning is self-regulated learning (SRL). Self-regulated learning expresses students' efforts to systematically regulate metacognitive, motivational, and behavioral activities in learning. Selfregulated learning is considered an essential element in the success both in online learning and EFL learning especially learning writing. The purpose of this study is to find out how the level of students’ perception toward self-regulated learning in online writing class. This study was a quantitative research and the design used was survey research. The sample of this study was 100 students. The questionnaire was used to collect the data in this study. The questionnaire consists of 40 items that include four aspects of self-regulated learning which are: cognitive, metacognitive, socialbehavior, and motivational regulation aspects. The results of the study showed that most students have the high level of selfregulated learning in online writing class. On cognitive aspect, 89 students were in high category, 10 students were in medium category, and 1 student was in low category. On metacognitive aspect, 90 students were in high category, 9 students were in medium category, and 1 student was in low category. On social-behavior aspect, 77 students were in high category, 22 students were in medium category, and 1 student was in low category. On motivational regulation aspect, 87 students were in high category, 12 students were in medium category, and 1 student was in low category. Therefore, these results indicated that online learning does not limit students in their writing learning so students can still develop their writing skills even in online class
