The subject of this study is 100 English department students from sixth semester. The researcher used questionnaire adapted from Shin & Son’s questionnaire to elicit the English department students’ perception on the internet use in doing course assignments and time spent in using internet for academic and non-academic purposes. The data were analyzed in relation to the content of the questionnaire. The result of this study reveals that most students have positive perceptions and good responses through the use of internet in academic and non-academic purposes.
