Vania Farras Putri. A. 2021. Improving English Vocabulary Through “Hello English” Game for Junior High School Students. Department of English Language Education. Faculty of Education and Teacher training State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Kediri, Faculty of Education, English Department. Key Words: Improving Vocabulary, Hello English Game, Classroom Action Research Students Vocabulary plays an important part of students’ English lesson. However, learners ever faced some difficulties in learning, one of them are difficulties in memorize. This thesis aims to find out any improvement in english vocabulary with Hello English application. Hello English game can make students feel easy to memorize vocabulary and learning new words. This study deals with the improvement of students’ achievement by using Hello English. This research was conducted by applying classroom action research in two cycle. The subjects of this study were the seventh-grade in SMP N 1 Papar academic year 2020/2021. The research instruments were an observation sheet, test, and documentation. This study was done in two cycle. The researcher procedures of this research consisted of 4 steps. They are planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Researcher used Classroom Action Research to solve their classroom problem practices to get students’ better English achievement, because they feel that memorize vocabulary is difficult and they still lack of vocabulary. From the findings and discussion, the result of Hello English game can improve students’ English vocabulary. It can be seen from the results of test-2 in cycle 2 which shows an improvement in student scores. The criteria of success at least students get 70% or reach score 75. In the cycle 1 test 1 the mean score was 56,83, in the cycle 1 test 2 the mean score was 66,83 and in Cycle 2 it increased to 69 in test 1 and 80 in test 2. In test 2 cycle 1 there were 12 of students passed and 18 of students were failed. Then, in test 2 cycle 2 there were 24 of students passed and 6 of students were failed. It meant that teaching English vocabulary using Hello English game can improved students’ vocabulary.
