Abstract

ABSTRACT Keywords: Facility and Infrastructure Management, Learning Quality, Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Kediri, Efficiency, Educational Implementation This research originates from the importance of facility and infrastructure management as a determining factor in the success of the educational process and in improving the quality of learning in educational institutions. The quality of education is not only determined by teacher competence and curriculum design but is also highly influenced by the availability and management of effective facilities and infrastructures. Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Kediri (Purwoasri) was chosen as the focus of this study because it consistently implements structured planning, procurement, utilization, maintenance, and elimination of facilities. The purpose of this research is to describe in depth the implementation of facility and infrastructure management in improving the quality of learning at MAN 2 Kediri, emphasizing how each stage of management contributes to the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach in which the researcher acted as the main instrument in collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources consisted of the principal, vice principal for facilities and infrastructure, teachers, staff, and students. Data analysis was carried out through processes of reduction, presentation, and systematic conclusion drawing to ensure the validity of findings. The accuracy of the data was verified using source triangulation and the researcher’s direct participation in the field. The research was conducted at MAN 2 Kediri (Purwoasri), chosen for its excellence in facility management and consistent improvement of educational infrastructure quality. The results indicate that the management of facilities and infrastructures at MAN 2 Kediri has been carried out effectively, efficiently, and sustainably. The procurement process was based on needs analysis and priority planning adjusted to available budgets. Utilization of facilities—such as classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and sports facilities—has been optimized to support active and collaborative learning. Maintenance is conducted regularly and periodically to maintain the feasibility of facilities, while the elimination process is implemented in accordance with established procedures and feasibility criteria to ensure that all available facilities remain relevant to modern educational needs. Effective management implementation has been proven to positively influence students’ achievements across both academic and non-academic fields. This study concludes that a well-planned, participatory, and sustainable management of facilities and infrastructures can significantly enhance learning quality and serve as a model that can be replicated by other educational institutions.
