Abstract
Muzaro'ah 2015. The Effectiveness of Using Bamboo Dancing method in Teaching Speaking Skill to the Second Grade Students of SMP Islam Ulul Albab Kelutan Ngronggot Nganjuk, Thesis, Tarbiyah, English Department, State College for Islamic Studies of Kediri, Advisors: (1) Dr. Mukhammad Abdullah M.Ag(2) Dra. Nurul Ain, M.Pd. Keywords: bamboo dancing method, teaching speaking, English is one of the languages in the world that has an important role for communication. By using language, they can express their ideas, feelings, and thoughts. It means that they use language as a means of communication, a tool to convey information, and an instrument to improve knowledge. One of the ways of communication is through speaking. Speaking is the single most important aspect of learning a second or foreign language. This research focusing on English teaching speaking skill. Speaking skill is considered as the most crucial one because the main goal in English teaching speaking is to make the students to be able to speak English well so English teacher must leave the traditional method and give fun method in teaching speaking to interest student motivation like using Bamboo Dancing Method, The researcher wishes to give new experience in English teaching speaking skill and have fun situation in the classroom. The teacher of SMP Islam Ulul Albab still had problems in finding good strategy in teaching speaking skill. That is why this study is carried out to enhance the speaking skill of SMP Islam Ulul Albab, There are many problems daily speaking ability faced by the students of SMP Islam Ulul Albab. In order to answer the problem of the study, the researcher sets the study Quasi Experimental research design. This research used Bamboo Dancing Method in teaching speaking skill to enhance student's speaking skill. The object of this study is second grade of SMP Islam Ulul Albab. For analyze the data and find out the significance difference of the effectiveness of speaking skill taken from recount text by Bamboo Dancing Method. the researcher calculate with ANCOVA by SPSS and the researcher compares the two groups of sample and gives them pre-test before the treatment and post-test after the treatment. Based on the research, the calculation of mean pre-test who are not taught by Bamboo Dancing Method is 52.32 for experimental group and 54.24 for the control group. And calculation of mean post-test is 75.84 for experimental group after taught with Bamboo dancing Method and 62.56 for control group it without Bamboo Dancing Method. It means that there is influence of the treatment.
