Abstract
E-learning is the combination of two processes; the use of electronic, digital technology and media to manage and deliver teaching and learning content and collection of teaching evaluations and learning outcomes in education. This research is aimed to find out the students’ perception of the use on online learning (e-learning) of 4th semester students of English language department of IAIN Kediri. Theresearcher administered questionnaire to gather the students’ perception toward elearning to 100 students. The questionnaire was closed-ended question and consisted of 4 aspects of perception on the use of e-learning, namely basic knowledge, readiness, easiness, and benefits. The findings revealed that the mean of the students’ perception on the use of e-learning is 77.07. Then, there are only 2% of students who perceived low perception which means that they are less pliable than others students on the perception towards e-learning. Meanwhile, there are 90 students or 90% from the total of the students who belong to medium category which means that their perception towards e-learning is good enough, and about 8% or 8 students belong to high category or in other words their perception towards elearning is very good. The positive results and the negative results of this study are criticized and portrayed from the result of the questionnaire. Next, the result of independent sample t-test shows that there is no significant difference of students’ perception on the use of e-learning between male and female students (.066<.05).
