Department of English Language Education,Faculty of Tarbiyah State Islamic Institution(IAIN) of Kediri.Advisor (1) Bahruddin, S.S., M.Pd, (2) Dr. Dewi Nur Suci,SS,M.Pd. Keyword : English Slang, Type of Slang, meaning, Instagram. This study aims to analyze the types of slang words used in the comment section of Billie Eilish’s Instagram account and to decipher their meanings. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, using Allan Keith’s and Burridge’s (2006) theory to classify slang. The data were collected from comments on Billie Eilish’s Instagram posts, with a total of 20 slang words analyzed. Social media is an important part of everyday life in the modern era.one of the popular social media is Instagram, which allows users to share photos and videos with their followers. Some artists like Billie Eilish and influencers use Instagram to communicate with their fans. The study was focused on the use of slang words used in Billie Eilish's comments on Instagram. This research problematized. What types of slang and meaning slang words are used in the comments column Billie Eilish The purpose of this study was to analyse the types of slang words and decipher them. This study was conducted by using a qualitative descriptive method. Research boundaries are taken from Billie Eilish's comment column that has at least 7.615.148 accounts. Data collection is done by taking pictures by screenshoot of comments. Then, the researcher classifies and analyses the found slang words based on Allan Keith's and Buridge theory (2006). The results of this study showed that there are 5 types of slang based on Allan Keith and Burridge (2006), namely fresh and creative, flippant, acronym, imitative, and clipping. The most dominant type of Word formation that is used in comments of Billie Eilish Instagram account is flippant. Those are goes hard, baby mama, dollar store, spott'en gotten, y'all ain't slick,
