Abstract
As a foreign language, English is sometimes considered a very difficult subject to be mastered by Thai students. The purpose of the study is to know the problems of Thailand students in learning English grammar at State Islamic Institute of Kediri. According to Betty subject-verb-agreement is divided into four part as follows: agreement between subject and verb, subject-verb-agreement with using the expression of quantity, subject-verb-agreement, subject-verb agreement and subject-verb-agreement with using some irregularities. The researcher used qualitative method, which is to test student‟s problems in subject-verb-agreement. The researcher tries to explain the problem of Thailand student in learning English at State Islamic Institute of Kediri. The data collections are test and interview. The analysis of the data are collecting the data, data reduction, data display, data conclusion. The subject of students in this research are five Thai students. All of them are girl and they are students of English Department at State Islamic Institute of Kediri. The result of the study is the highest problems for Thai students is about subject verb-agreement with using the expression of quantity and the lowest problem is about subject-verb-agreement with using some irregularities.
