Abstract

The research was based on the students’ difficulties in writing narrative text. The students have good interest in writing narrative text, unfortunately they were difficulties in deliver their idea in the writing form. They needed stimmulation of the teachers in delivering their idea. The teacher were needed a new technique in teaching writing to improve students writing skills. The research design is classroom action research. The researcher conducts two cycle and every cycle consists of planning, implementing, observation, and reflection. Improving writing skills in narrative text by implementing Think Talk Write (TTW) Technique is an effective way in practicing writing. Through Classroom Action Research (CAR), the researcher and the English teacher can help and motivate the students to study English. The researcher revaled that Thing Talk Write (TTW) techique succeded in improving the students writing skill in Narrative text. It was shown by finding of the study in the pre test that students writing skill was still bad. It could be seen from the mean score of students only 59,31.There were three students or 10,34% who derived the score above KKM. Meanwhile, the 26 others were under from the criterion. The students’ post test 1 that there were just 17 students or 58,62% who passed the KKM. In this cycle, students need to improve their score in writing thought TTW Techique. The researcher and english teacher also discussed that there was improvement of students writing score of narrative text. In the cycle two, the students mean score in the post test is 78,79. There were 25 students or 86,20% who passed the KKM.
