Abstract
The aim of this research was to investigate the students‟ perception on the use of Online Test, and was investigate the advantages and disadvantages on the use of Online Test in Grammar for Academic Discourse in English Department of IAIN Kediri. The method used in this research was a qualitative method and the research design was distribute questionnaire. The population of this study is the fourth semester who was registered in Grammar for Academic Discourse class. There are six classes A,B,C,D,E and F. In this reseach, the resecaher took 60 students randomly. The research consist four questionts : 1) What are the students‟ perception about general view toward the use of Online Test ? 2) What are the students‟ perception toward the implementation on the use of Online Test ? 3) What are the students‟ perception toward the advantages the use of Online Test ? 4) What are the students‟ perception toward the disadvantages on the use of Online Test ?. The reseacher used Linkert Scale to analyzed the data. The result showed that a large number of respondents agreed that Online Test is the efficient test. Most of the students‟ agreed that doing the test using Online Test system was better than using Paper Based Test system. They also agreed that the problem on Online Test is low network. The result of this research also shows that Online Test has advantages and disadvantages of the use Online Test to support learning process. Positive impact is a student can be stacked on his/her phone for doing the test, its can be minimize the students‟ dishonesty. The negative impact of using online test is the student have to access the high network, it is a big problem for them. Because, they does not have much quota for access the high network.
