Abstract
This study is aimed at determining the relationship between students’ reading habit and their writing skill. 34 students of MAN I Kediri took a part in this study. This research used two instruments in this study, those were reading habit questionnaire, and writing skill test. The researcher adopted all of the instrument from the previous study. Questionnaire of reading habit and writing skill test was adopted from thesis Inayatul Maula (2014). Upon obtaining the whole data needed, the researcher used Pearson Correlation Product Moment formula was used as well as Microsoft Excel 2010 to calculate the data. The pearson Correlation Product Moment formula was used to determine the correlation between sudents’ reading habit and their writing skill. The result showed that correlation between students’ reading habit and their writing skill was not significant because the number of sig. 2 tailed (740). The null hypothesis that “cannot be rejected”. It means that we cannot predict that students who have good reading habit will have good writing skill.
