Abstract
Autism spectrum disorders face challenges in communication, social interaction, and lack of attention. Cognitive barriers represent significant obstacles to learning for autistic children, manifesting as difficulties in verbal and non-verbal communication. One way to overcome these barriers is through vocabulary. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the teaching English vocabulary strategies for students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and understand the obstacles faced by teacher in case of teaching English vocabulary for autism students. The current research was a case study design on the subject of English teacher on ASD. The research subjects of this research were English teacher and class X of autism students at SLB Dharma Putra Daha Kediri. The data was collected through observation and interview. The results of this current research showed that the teacher used some strategies to teach English vocabulary for ASD, and there are several obstacles in teaching English vocabulary for students with autism.
