Somehow in speaking the people who want to speak, they need to be brave to express their feeling or having good self-confidence level in order to be able to say their thoughts to other people or public places. So, the researcher wants to know and prove the expert theory in IAIN Society and choose the correlation between speaking achievement and the self-confidence as the title. The research methodology was correlation quantitative design. The researcher has chosen second-semester students at English department of IAIN Kediri which the population. The researcher decided to choose ABDG classes as the sample. The instruments to took the data were questionnaire and speaking test. Then, analyzed those data at SPSS 21.0. Early, the researcher was set 40 items of questionnaire. Then, did the try out to that questionnaire and got 35 items of the questionnaire which valid and reable. The researcher used expert rates. Expert rates for avoided the bias when, gave the speaking score. And got the measure of Agreement Kappa value was 0.825 ( . It means the agreement was good. And the normality test value using kolmogorov smirnov test was 0,761 (α > 0.05). It means the data was normal. The value of linearity test was 0,075 (α > 0.05). It means the variables were linear. The result of regression test was 0.034 (α ≤ 0.05) and both of the t-count and f-count are > (more than) t - tabel and f - tabel it means the data was significant. And the last coeficient correlation of Pearson Correlation was 0,214. In conclusion, there was a positive but, low correlation between self-confidence and the students’ speaking achievement in IAIN Kediri. It means the people who have a good self-confidence level also have a good speaking achievement.
