Analyzing a test especially in final examination has been known as an important role for test-makers’ improvement. Their products are encouraged to synchronize the dynamic of students’ ability and the syllabus provided. To know a test whether its quality is good or not, a research which fulfills a number of good test prerequisites should be carried out. This research aims to know the quality of English final exam in Junior High School at Kediri city. Moreover, this exam is abbreviated as ETFT (English Teacher-Made Final Test) serving as the value of determining students’ graduation. A mixed method with a descriptive quantitative and qualitative approach was applied in this present research. Some aspects that researcher focused on are reliability, item difficulty, and item discrimination that are included into quantitative approach while content validity, check-list table (material direction, construction direction, and language direction) are into qualitative approach. The samples are two junior high schools in Kediri where SMPN 3 represents state junior high school and SMP Al-Huda as the private junior high school. The result shows that ETFT of both schools have different results of reliability, index of difficulty, discrimination power, content validity, and check-list table. The total value of reliability in ETFT at SMPN 3 and SMP Al-Huda is 43,75%. The total value of index of difficulty in ETFT at SMPN 3 and SMP Al-Huda is 52,5%. The total value of discrimination power in ETFT at SMPN 3 and SMP AlHuda is 43,75%. For qualitative data, the content validity of two schools is completed however there are some items in problem. Generally, the percentage of content validity in ETFT at SMPN 3 Kediri is 95% while in SMP AL-HUDA Kediri is 75%. Construction direction of ETFT in those schools can be stated that in SMPN 3 is no problem. While in SMP AL-Huda. Has eight error items. Language direction of SMPN 3 is no problem with language of that test. But SMP AL-Huda has grammatically incorrect in one item. Thus in conclusion, the quality of ETFT quantitatively is 55,417% based on the total average of the three aspect’s result. Moreover, the quality of ETFT qualitatively is among 80 items (total of test items in the samples), there are 57 items in good quality. In general, the two tests have approximately the same quality in terms of quantitative and qualitative designs. Also it brings the conclusion to population of the ETFT junior high schools in Kediri city that it still needs some corrections and revisions for a number of items.
